While I was off for a few days, I had
a chance to go see my favorite baseball team, the Chicago White Sox. My
daughter took me to “Father/Daughter Day” as an early “Father’s Day” present.
She definitely knows what Dad likes and she is as big a fan as I am.
Since Gina was a little girl, we
watched quite a bit of White Sox baseball (apologies to my wife). During the
162 games season, we probably watched at least 100 of those games, season after
season. We would sit in our living room commenting on each play and each pitch.
We would discuss on-field situations like two coaches, analyzing what each of
us would do if we were managing the team. My daughter was an accomplished
softball player and is a great student of the game of baseball; I am a very
fortunate Dad. We both have fun criticizing that team on the “North Side”. We
know the team’s roster and most of the important stats like R.B.I.s, E.R.A.s
and on-base percentage. We know who is in a slump and who has the “hot hand” at
the plate. A true fan knows more about a team than just the color of their
uniforms.
When we were sitting at the game,
there were some young ladies sitting in front of us talking to each other, and
being basically oblivious to the action on the field, so oblivious that they
were barely aware of the “GRAND SLAM HOME RUN” that Adam Dunn hit to make the
score 10-0 White Sox. They were at the game, but they really didn’t understand
it, or care to understand it; it was just an event to them. They barely even
knew the player’s names. If you’re going to be a fan, you need to know who is
on your team!
This November, America will be having
another Presidential Election. Barack Obama is seeking a second term, and he
will likely be facing Mitt Romney as the Republican candidate.
I identify with the White Sox, and I
have a common bond with other White Sox fans; the fans who know about the team
and its players; not the folks who are clueless and are on their cell-phones
during the game.
It is a good thing to know who your
team represents, and it is a good thing to know who is supporting your
candidate in a Presidential election.
If you are planning to support Mr.
Obama, who is supporting him should be important to you. We already know Bill
Maher has contributed 1 million dollars to Mr. Obama. Mr. Maher is a famous
atheist and leftist who doesn’t believe in an exceptional America, and promotes
socialism. Louis Farrakhan is a vocal supporter of Mr. Obama; he is famous for
his race baiting hatred for white people and is an advocate of militant action
to “change America”. Barney Frank is most definitely a strong supporter of
Barack Obama. Barney is an ardent supporter of the “Gay Agenda” and also a
card-carrying member of the American Socialists, along with Charley Rangel, the
convicted tax cheat. Other socialist supporters of Barack Obama are Danny
Davis, Luis Gutierrez and Jesse Jackson Jr.!
I’m not really too surprised by the
amount of support Mr. Obama receives from the socialists and the communists, as
Mr. Obama had some strong affiliations with the Illinois New Party and the
Chicago New Party, both arms of the COMMUNIST PARTY! Mr Obama doesn’t make too
much noise about his old friends today, but they still support him; they are
part of his team!
If you aren’t completely sold out to
Barack Hussein Obama, you may want to check out the rest of his “team roster”
and look at all their “stats”. You may decide that this isn’t the team you want
“on the field” in 2013. There is more on the line than a baseball game!
